Alexandra Nicholson, 1972 (Ebony magazine)
Alexandra Nicholson — one of the most accomplished U.S. trampolinists of her day — has often been called the greatest trampolinist in history.
Alexandra competed in track, tumbling and ice skating before taking up trampoline. With that diverse athletic background, it is no surprise that she leapt to the top of trampolining in just three years.
Ebony Magazine did an in-depth story about Alexandra in June 1972 after she won the USA Trampoline Championships. She would go on to win the world champion title in both 1972 and 1974.
